Not long ago the German government banned all online wagers, forcing internet service providers to block access, transactions and users with online bookmakers.
With these measures, the German state monopoly on the online gambling business, in addition to restricting the advertising, both online and television advertising, print and other media.
The European Commission is against such measures and to impede fair competition and asked the German state that reconsideration.
The big bookmakers have been put in check against the German government and resort to the courts to defend their rights and interests.
