Short stack Die, die II. Future by Spainfull
This article is a continuation of “short stack Die, die I”, explaining the intention to buy FTP increase in minimum standard tables from indeterminate day of January 2010 and their reasons have driven this decision. In this installment, I will address the importance of this action and the possible consequences for different stakeholders .
That you paying so much attention to this issue is because it is a fascinating case because, among other things, affecting all levels of industry . A logical result would be that many of the players full stack is short enough of both FTP and switch to much of the short currently playing there, be divided among the other rooms. Another thing to keep in mind that limits to some extent as the stampede of shorts, is that FTP is one of the few places where you can find tables CAP. These are tables where you can enter any amount, but the closest you can play on each hand is 30bb, or go all in means as much put 30 big blinds on the table, but have a higher stack.
I talk about this kind of tables although they differ in several key aspects of successful short stack strategy (so I will talk about another day) because man is a creature of habit, that is, once you have all the tool set (which is often very tedious and much time is lost until everything works as you like), one has been accustomed to playing in a room that is comfortable, and
as many times comfort means greater profitability, it is difficult to change and must be powerful reasons to start (though basically the prospect of winning more). We’ll see if some shorts and FTP so used to begin to populate these tables or trying to adapt to the new buy-in …
