Jeff Madsen won the Borgata Winter Poker Open

Jeff Madsen Jeff Madsen won first prize $ 625,000 dollars in the Borgata Winter Poker Open whose final table was played on Friday. With this result, Madsen managed to exceed three million dollars in winnings in his career as a player but, above all, had ended almost three years without a victory in the tournament circuit. Madsen reached the final table in fourth place and with him were Sirous Jamshidi, Dave Fox, and Tom ‘Kingsofcards’ Marchese. The Borgata Winter Open was a guaranteed two million dollars and involving 766 participants who paid $ 3,000 for registration, it surpassed.

The hand to hand began with Mades and his rival, Sirous Jamshidi, very close in chips. However, during the first hour of play, Jeff managed to grab an advantage of 2 to 1 without assuming any risk. Half an hour later, Madsen already had 20 million chips against the two million Jamshidi .

On the last hand, Sirous moved all his chips to the center with Q [pica] 2 [pica] and Madsen quickly saw the bet with K [corazon] 10 [diamante] . The board gave no surprise and a K [diamante] the turn sealed the victory for Full Tilt Poker.

Madsen was satisfied with this result and said after winning the tournament:

I’ve had success in the past but it feels good to have this great result and continue to prove myself in the poker world .
