Ivey will be vegetarian for a year for a million dollars
Another bet among poker players is underway. In the fourth episode of High Stakes Poker, Tom Dwan Phil Ivey challenged to not eat any type of meat for a year . If successful, Dwan have to pay nothing more nor less than a million dollars. Technically, the bet must already be underway, as the episode was filmed a few days after Ivey’s seventh in the main event WSOP.
Ivey was quite confident in making the challenge, including tried to convince Tom to up the ante to two million. “Dwan think I have chance. You’ll learn the hard way. Anyway, I was considering being a vegetarian for a while, so this is a good incentive .”.
Phil Ivey, a vegetarian for a year
It is difficult to maintain control of a bet of this type. Obviously ‘durrrr’ will not be Ivey’s shadow for a year to see if it meets the terms of the challenge and it seems that it all comes down to confidence in the other. But if Ivey hires a good chef, living a year without eating meat seems to be somewhat complex .
For now we do not know what the status of the bet, although ‘durrrr’ mentioned in a game against George Sammy that Ivey had already proposed to take it for completion (with payment). If it is true, it is interesting to know that more than one million dollars to motivate Mr. Phil Ivey.
