A player is banned for life in the WSOP
The organization of the WSOP has decided to be strict this year and has shown with the decision by Jack Effel, the Tournament Director of ban a player for life entry to the WSOP .
The reason is simple: do not try to pick up the pieces of another participant. The story tells Michael Craig, author of the book The Professor, the Banker and The Suicide King , on his blog. On Saturday afternoon, while playing the third event of the WSOP, a middle-aged player was escorted to the exit by security guards at the casino.
The tournament continued as normal, but a player Effel asked what was the reason to leave the individual. “I just can not pick up the pieces from another player” said Effel. Turns out, when they announced the rest at the end of the second level of play, the middle-aged man was in a hand with another player, so both were the only ones on the table. He won the hand and his opponent went to rest.
The dealer began to move the chips in the pot to the winner and he began to take with one hand, while with the other, which was very close to the chips from another player, seemed to be pushed to grab the chips.
At a time when the dealer turned the hearing,
to take advantage of chips belonging to stack of his rival and mix with the pot that had just won. Later, the recordings of the security camera Effel confirmed the incident and did not hesitate to expel the player of the tournament, and passage of all future editions of the WSOP .
